Section 508 Accessibility Compliance Statement
WHAT IS SECTION 508 ACCESSIBILITY?
Section 508 compliant websites are fully accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. Inaccessible technology interferes with an individual's ability to obtain and use information quickly and easily. Section 508 was enacted to eliminate barriers in information technology, to make available new opportunities for people with disabilities, and to encourage development of technologies that will help achieve these goals.
This amendment requires that all Federal agencies must have completely accessible websites, but does not apply to independently operated sites. Meeting 508 compliance standards is therefore up to individual site operators.
At Seojobs.Us, we strive to be a valuable resource for all Internet users. One of our site's goals is to be Section 508 compliant by July 2012. Currently, our Section 508 compliant features include resizable text, screen reader capabilities, Find As You Type for quick navigation, no use of flash, and more.
We are working to offer accessible alternatives to some of our more complex applications and features. The goal is for all users to have access to Seojobs.Us and be able to find a job, start a career or post an employment opportunity.
To achieve this, Seojobs.Us has followed the Web Accessibility Initiative Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0).
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Developed by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), and now at the version 2.0 stage, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are the recommended standards for content accessibility on the World Wide Web. Their intent is to make searching and perceiving content a more straightforward task for people with disabilities rather than an onerous – or even impossible – one. People with virtually the full gamut of disabilities are taken into account, including sight and hearing impairment, movement and speech difficulties, cognitive limitations, and so on.
